What Happens if I Decide to Participate?
Prior to entering a medical study, you will be given an informed consent to read. This will contain information about the study, including the purpose of the study, how the study drug will be administered (taken by mouth, applied on skin, etc.), the length of the study, the number of visits and types of procedures required, the potential risks and benefits, and contact information.
You will have as much time as you need to read the consent form and have your questions answered by a member of the research team.
You will then decide if you would like to participate in the clinical trial. Participation is voluntary. You may withdraw from the study at any time. Even after you decide to participate in the study and sign the consent form, you may change your mind and withdraw from the study.
